Asus ROG Phone 9 FE Full Specifications Leaked: Could Launch Soon

Asus introduced the ROG Phone 9 and ROG Phone 9 Pro in November last year. Now, the company seems to be developing a less powerful Fan Edition (FE) model of the ROG Phone 9.

While an official announcement is awaited, alleged renders and specifications for the ROG Phone 9 FE have emerged online. This upcoming device is expected to resemble the standard ROG Phone 9 models but will reportedly feature a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC with 16GB of RAM.

Design and Display Features

According to sources from 91mobiles, the Asus ROG Phone 9 FE will sport a black hue with a textured back panel. The design includes a flat display with a central hole-punch cutout. On its rear, it is anticipated to house a triple camera setup accompanied by an LED flash. The overall appearance closely mirrors that of the ROG Phone 9 and ROG Phone 9 Pro models.

The phone is expected to run on Android 15 with ROG UI and boast a 6.78-inch full-HD+ Samsung Flexible AMOLED LTPO display. This display might offer up to a 165Hz refresh rate and peak brightness of 2,500 nits. In High Brightness Mode (HBM), it could reach up to 1,600 nits brightness and feature Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection.

Camera Specifications

The Asus ROG Phone 9 FE is rumoured to include a triple rear camera system featuring a primary Sony IMX890 sensor with optical image stabilization (OIS) at 50 megapixels. Additionally, it may have a 13-megapixel ultra-wide lens and a 5-megapixel macro camera. For selfies, it could offer a front-facing camera with a resolution of 32 megapixels.

Battery and Charging Capabilities

This model might come equipped with a battery capacity of 5,500mAh supporting fast charging at up to 65W along with wireless charging options. In comparison, existing models have slightly larger batteries at around 5,800mAh but maintain similar fast-charging capabilities.

The report suggests that the Asus ROG Phone 9 FE will include dual stereo speakers, Hi-Res Audio support, and retain the traditional headphone jack at 3.5mm size. Connectivity features such as Wi-Fi 7 are expected along with an in-display fingerprint sensor for security purposes.
