Asus ZenFone 4 Selfie Lite launched: Key features, specifications and more

Asus recently launched several smartphones in its ZenFone 4 series. In fact, the company unveiled six new smartphones which include ZenFone 4, ZenFone 4 Pro, ZenFone 4 Selfie, ZenFone 4 Selfie Pro, ZenFone 4 Max, and ZenFone 4 Max Pro in the series.

While we already have seen these new smartphones, a new variant in the 'ZenFone 4 Selfie' series has just been spotted online. Well, Asus' Malaysia division has reportedly launched a variant dubbed as Asus ZenFone 4 Selfie Lite with model number ZB520KL in the market. Further, the device seems to be priced at MYR 899 (which roughly translates to Rs. 13,400).

According to a Malaysian website Amanz, the publication reports that Asus Malaysia has shared information about the new smartphone and that it will probably enter the local market by early September.

In any case, talking about the new smartphone it features similar design language as the Asus ZenFone 4 Selfie model. As such, the Lite version showcases the same home button and fingerprint scanner placement and there is a single camera setup at the back. The Asus ZenFone 4 Selfie Lite will also be available in Sunlight Gold color which you can also see in the image.

As for specifications, Asus ZenFone 4 Selfie Lite will come with a 5.3-inch HD (720x1280 pixels) display. The handset will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 SoC which looks to be further aired with 3GB of RAM. The device will offer 32GB of internal storage. At the rear, the smartphone will feature a 16-megapixel sensor with f/2.0 aperture but there seems to be only one 16-megapixel sensor in the front, unlike the other variants which have a dual selfie camera setup. The phone will be backed by a 4120mAh battery, and run on ZenUI 4.0 software.

While the launch has been done silently, the company has not given any details on whether Asus ZenFone 4 Selfie Lite will be launched in other markets outside of Malaysia or not.
