BlackBerry not giving up on BB10, bringing top features to its UI for Android smartphone
A week after BlackBerry's Senior Vice President for Global Device Sales, Alex Thurber, confirmed that the company's iconic keyboard is not going out of the picture, the company now gave another good news to its die heart fans. Blackberry is not giving up on BB10!

Best of BlackBerry coming to Android!
BlackBerry Chief Operating Officer Marty Beard told Crackberry that the company never mentioned that it would not bring another BlackBerry 10 device. The company came up with its first Android powered smartphone called, BlackBerry Priv, and is prepping two new Android smartphones, Beard reportedly confirmed. However, the production of new Android smartphones does not mean that the company would give up on BB10. It is, in fact, picking the best features from BB10 for its UI based on Android OS, which will help it create a unique interface.

Here is what Marty Beard, COO, BlackBerry reportedly said:
"Our roadmap is completely driven by our customers. We are absolutely not backing away from BB10 because we have a huge amount of customers on BB10 and high expectations from that group. The company's never said that we would not build another BB10 device. BlackBerry is pulling all the top features from BB10 and adding it to its Android system, creating a hybrid that has the best of both worlds."

Considering that Priv did not turn out to be a game changer mobile phone for the company, there are chances that the company doesn't give away with the BB10.
BB10 update time line!
As far as the company's current BB10 based models are concerned, it is selling devices such as BlackBerry Passport, the BlackBerry Classic (though, it is not manufactured anymore) and the BlackBerry Leap. The company will be releasing BB10.3.3 to all BlackBerry 10 handsets starting next month. Also in the time line is another update, being scheduled for next year.
