BlackBerry Planning To Launch Android Powered Smartphone

Till date, the Canadian smartphone maker, BlackBerry has released its smartphone powered by its very own proprietary mobile operating called BlackBerry OS. But now it is rumored that, the company is planning to release a smartphone sometime this fall, which will be powered by a widely-used Android operating system.

BlackBerry Planning To Launch Android Powered Smartphone

According to a report by Reuters, that quotes a number of sources saying that BlackBerry's plans to launch a smartphone running Android OS.

The reports also says that the new BlackBerry Android powered smartphone will be a slider phone with physical keyboard that folds. BlackBerry recently teased a mobile at MWC, that featured a curved screen and a fold-out keyboard.

However, making Android devices would be a great savior for the company, as the Android platform supports large touchscreen and a physical keyboard. The device may attract the BlackBerry fans who are still using older BB handsets wit keyboard.
