BlackBerry Priv Secure Smartphone exudes features of both Android and BlackBerry
BlackBerry has launched its Android smartphone, the Priv Secure Smartphone. The phone is available for pre-orders currently only in the US, Canada, UK and Germany. In an TV commercial, the company has teased some of the phone's features.

The TV commercial also released on YouTube, shows several features of the new BlackBerry Smartphone. The BlackBerry Hub app store on the new Priv being a highlight for its collection of enterprise apps. Other features include the pop-up widgets, and the DTEK. The DTEK monitors the smartphone's privacy and notifies users for apps that could pose as risk.
The Priv's top specifications include a 5.4-inch dual-curved QHD screen with a resolution of 2560×1440 pixels. The Priv is powered by a 3,410mAh battery and a Schneider-Kreuznach certified 18-megapixel primary camera with dual-LED flash, optical image stabilization to ensure great clarity to the images, and the ability to record 4K videos. The Priv also features a 2 MP camera with wide selfie mode.
The greatest highlight of the BlackBerry Priv is the its slider keyboard, the company so claims. It is afterall the keyboard is what separates the BlackBerry from other Android phones. The physical QWERTY keyboard slides out enabled with a a touch feature that can also be used to scroll through pages. So, a user can technically use a virtual keyboard like its usually done in the Android smartphones coupled with the BlackBerry's slider keyboard. Here, users get a taste of both the worlds.
BlackBerry Priv specifications and features: The Priv features a Snapdragon 808 hexa-core 64-bit processor, Adreno 418 GPU, 3GB of RAM, and 32GB internal storage that can be expanded up to 2TB using a microSD card.The connectivity options included as part of the Priv Secure Smartphone include 4G LTE support, Bluetooth 4.1 LE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, GPS and NFC among others. On the software front, it runs on the Android 5.1 Lollipop.
However, the commercial for the BlackBErry Priv also focuses heavily on the privacy features of the phone. The phone comes at a price tag of $749, currently available for order only in the US, Canada, UK and Germany. There is still no word from the company if the phone will be available in the Indian market.
