Blu Vivo 5 and Vivo XL smartphones with Metal Built and USB Type C port launched at CES 2016
US based smartphone brand, Blu has now unveiled two new phones at this year CES trade show in Las Vegas. Dubbed the Blu Vivo 5 and Vivo XL, the smartphones come with the latest USB Type C port and a metallic build.
Unlike popular belief though, the Vivo XL is the costlier of the duo so don't get deceived by the 'XL' moniker. Incidentally the Blu Vivo 5 XL also comes with the similar sized display as found in the Vivo 5, hence it's not quite clear why the brand has given it a XL title.

The Blu Vivo 5 features a full metal design with a 5.5 inch HD (1280x720p) Super AMOLED display reinforced by Gorilla Glass 3 upfront. Under the hood the Vivo 5 smartphone touts a 1.3GHz Octacore Mediatek 6753 SoC and 3GB of RAM. Furthermore the smartphone comes with 32GB of internal storage along with a slot for memory expansion via Micro SD card slot (upto 64GB). In terms of camera the Blu Vivo 5 sports a 13MP rear equipped with PDAF and 5MP front facing shooter.
On the other hand the Blu Vivo XL comes with a liquid metal finish and sports similar innards as seen in its higher priced brother. The main areas where Blu have cut corners include the smaller RAM (2GB from 3GB), storage (16GB from 32GB), lack of PDAF sensor in the rear camera and the built.
