In order to provide handset at low cost to its users, State-run telecom operator Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has tied up with domestic mobile maker Micromax and LAVA.
"BSNL has tied up with Micromax and Lava to provide instruments to BSNL customers at low cost. We are coming out with bundled offers on the handsets manufactured by Micromax and Lava with BSNL SIMs...the cost details are being worked out," PTI quoted BSNL's Hyderabad Telecom District (HTD) Principal General Manager K Ramchand.
Ramchand also said that "six rural exchanges are commissioned with Wi-Fi in Hyderabad Telecom District and another 112 rural exchanges will be covered by December end this year."
Ever since Reliance Jio has announced its feature phone all telecom companies are planning to counter the former, in fact, India's largest telecom service provider Bharti Airtel is in talks with various handset manufacturers to bring 4G VoLte smartphone as well.
Meanwhile, the company is also planning to launch its LTE based 4G mobile services by this year-end.
To recall, the telco has its new offer in which the company is providing 50 percent cash back on recharge of voice STVs as part of its Dussehra offer.
The company's new offer is available for its prepaid customers across India. It will be valid for 30 days starting September 25 to October 25.
RK Mittal, Director (CM) BSNL Board told "We always come up with extra benefits on festive occasion. On this occasion, we are offering up to 50 percent more talk value along with many FTT offers for all our prepaid mobile customers."
The plan gives you 1 GB data every day, however, it is valid from September 15 to October 25, 2017.
