Huawei Announces Mid Range GX8 Smartphone with 3GB RAM: Brings fingerprint sensors to the masses!

    Chinese handset maker, Huawei has announced it's latest mid-range GX8 smartphone at the ongoing tech expo CES 2016 taking place at Las Vegas today. Initially, the company has launched the same device as G8 at the IFA last year.

    Moving on to the specifications, the Huawei GX8 sports a 5.5-inch FHD display (1080 x 1920) with a 64-bit, Octa-Core Snapdragon 615 processor under the hood. Moreover, the GX8 features a fingerprint sensor on the back just below the camera.

    On the storage department, this device comes with 3GB RAM, 32GB ROM with an expandable option of upto 128GB via microSD card slot. The imaging factor is taken care by 13MP rear camera with dual-tone LED Flash, 5MP front-facing camera on board.

    The GX8 is shipped with Android 5.1 Lollipop on top of Huawei Emotion UI 3.1. However, this device measures 7.5mm thickness and weighs around 167grams. Further, the connectivity option includes 4G LTE /3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 LE, GPS. The above hardware is powered by a 3000mAh battery

    The Huawei GX8 will be available in gold, gray and silver variant at a price of $349.99 (approx Rs. 23,200). However, it will be available only on BestBuy.com, select Best Buy stores, GetHuawei.com and Amazon.com.
