CMF Phone (2) Officially Teased, Flipkart Availability Confirmed — Here’s What to Expect

CMF, the more playful and affordable sub-brand from London-based tech company Nothing, has started teasing its next big release: the CMF Phone (2).

While the company hasn't officially revealed all the details yet, a recent teaser gives us a glimpse of what's coming-and there's quite a bit to unpack, especially for fans of Nothing's design-first approach and CMF's colorful vibe.

A Bright Orange Teaser, With Some Familiar Design Cues

The teaser image shared by CMF shows off the back of a phone in the brand's signature orange finish-a color that's already become part of its identity. The back panel reveals a single camera sensor up top, along with what appears to be a flash unit below it.

But if you've been following the leaks, you might notice a potential match. Earlier renders suggested a triple-camera setup, with two lenses stacked vertically and a third offset to the side. It's not clear yet whether CMF is teasing a different variant or simply not showing the full design-but it does raise curiosity about how much is still under wraps.

What We Know (So Far) About the Specs

Although the brand hasn't confirmed much, leaks suggest the CMF Phone (2) will run on MediaTek's Dimensity 7400 processor-a fairly recent chip that also powers the Motorola Edge 60 Fusion. That positions the phone somewhere in the upper mid-range segment, likely with solid 5G performance and battery efficiency.

One standout detail? The back cover is rumored to be customisable, possibly with a visible screw mechanism to attach accessories like lanyards. It's a small touch, but one that aligns with CMF's modular and user-personalized aesthetic with the Phone (1).

A Slightly Smaller Screen This Time?

One interesting shift might be the screen size. Reports suggest the CMF Phone (2) could feature a 6.3-inch display, a step down from the 6.67-inch screen found in Nothing's Phone (1). That might appeal to users who've grown tired of oversized phones and prefer something more compact, especially if it retains flagship-like features.

Pokémon Teasers Point to New Accessories

CMF has taken a fun route to hint at upcoming products, dropping teaser images featuring Pokémon characters like Gligar, Girafarig, and Hoothoot. While it might seem random at first glance, there's a pattern here.

  • Gligar could hint at updated TWS earbuds
  • Girafarig might represent a new neckband headset
  • Hoothoot likely points to a refreshed smartwatch

All three characters reference animal traits that loosely align with how we use wearables today-fly, long neck, and owl-like eyes.

Flipkart Listing Confirms India Launch

The CMF Phone (2) microsite has gone live on Flipkart, giving us one of the first official confirmations of the retail partner for the Indian market. While the listing doesn't reveal specs or pricing yet, it signals that the launch is imminent, likely late April or early May 2025, based on the company's current teaser schedule.

Expect more information to surface in the days ahead, including accessory announcements and detailed specs.
