ColorOS 16 March Monthly Update Live: Check New Features, Rollout Timeline, and Eligible Devices
OPPO has started rolling out its March update for ColorOS 16, and this one leans more toward small, practical improvements rather than big visual changes. The update focuses on two areas most users deal with regularly: app security and managing everyday tasks.
The rollout is happening in phases between March 16 and March 31, and it’s coming to devices across the Find X9, Find X8, and Reno14 series.

Built-In Virus Scan Aims To Simplify Security
One of the more noticeable additions is a Virus Scan feature built directly into the system.
The idea here is straightforward. Users can scan for suspicious apps and remove them without needing a separate app. This doesn’t necessarily replace dedicated security apps for everyone, but it lowers the barrier for basic protection, especially for users who don’t actively monitor what they install.

Multiple Timers Make Multitasking Easier
The update also introduces Multiple Timers, allowing users to run and view several timers at once on a single screen.
It’s one of those features that sounds minor until you actually need it. Whether it’s timing different parts of a meal, tracking workouts, or managing short work sessions, having everything visible in one place cuts down on friction.
There’s no major redesign here, just a more practical way to handle parallel tasks.
Smaller Changes That Improve Everyday Use
Alongside the main additions, there are a few smaller updates that tweak how the system behaves:
- Content Portal now supports app clones, which should make sharing content between apps more consistent
- A new control for automatically opening received files gives users more say over how files are handled
- Timer updates now include estimated stop times, which can help with planning
Individually, these aren’t major upgrades, but together they contribute to a slightly more refined experience.
Rollout Details
The update is being released in stages, so availability may vary depending on the device and region. It’s confirmed for:
- OPPO Find X9 and Find X9 Pro
- OPPO Find X8 and Find X8 Pro
- OPPO Reno14 and Reno14 Pro
As with most OTA updates, it may take a few days or weeks to reach all eligible devices.
