The Shenzhen-based tech major Gionee is one of the smartphone makers that considers battery as a very important segment when it comes to introducing a new smartphone in the market.
And this month on July 26th, Gionee has finally revealed on its official social accounts and media invites that the company is going to launch - M6 and M6 Plus smartphones finally.
Reports are in that both the smartphones will boast a whopping 6,020mAh battery and will be launched initially in China, followed by launch later in other parts of the world.Confirming this, the company has also released the official teaser for the event mentioning the 6020mAh battery.
The Gionee M6 & M6 Plus will be the successors of the Marathon M5 and M5 Plus which are also battery centered smartphones.
As per several leaked reports in the past, Gionee M6 & M6 Plus will come with an encrypted chip that protects the data including call records, photos, documents and other information inside the phone with encryption.
Further, one of the reports also stated that the Gionee M6 & M6 Plus smartphones will have more security protection than any other smartphones.

Reportedly, the Gionee M6 is said to a 5.5-inch AMOLED display with 1080p resolution, Snapdragon 652 SoC, 4GB RAM, 32GB inbuilt memory with no extra storage slot. If the rumor turns out to be true, this smartphone will come packed with Android 6.0 Marshmallow, 13MP rear camera. 8MP front camera, 5000mAh battery too.
However, the company is planning to launch two variants -- M6 and M6 Plus. While the specifications of M6 Plus remain unknown, we are expecting more information in the upcoming days.
