Xiaomi is a set to host a press event on July 27, where it will most likely be taking the wraps off the much awaited Redmi Note 4 smartphone, along with a Xiaomi Notebook. Though Xiaomi has not confirmed which products would be launched at the event, a latest photo of what is believed to be the retail box of the Redmi Note 4 surfaced online, suggesting the phone's unveiling at the upcoming event.
Specifications and Features confirmed, ahead of launch!
The sighting of the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 retail box has also revealed its specifications, which are in line with the previous rumors. Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 will be a metal clad smartphone that will flaunt a 5.5-inch 1080p display, same as that of Xiaomi Redmi Note 3.
As far as the processor and memory space are concerned, the upcoming Redmi Note smartphone will have a MediaTek Helio X20 deca-core chipset under the hood, which will make it a tough competitor against other octa-core rivals. The retail box also confirms that the chipset will be paired with 3GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage.
Speaking of camera, there will be the same 13MP Autofocus rear camera and 5MP front-facing camera, as that on the current gen Redmi Note. It will run Android Marshmallow based the company's latest MIUI 8, which is in Beta version for now and will go in final version projected to be released on August 16. Other features include of a fingerprint sensor, dual-SIM and other standard connectivity options, USB Type C port, and a 4100mAh battery.
A higher end version coming your way!
Rumors have it that Xiaomi will launch a base variant as well as a high end variant of the Redmi Note 4. The aforementioned could be the base variant, whereas the high-end version is likely to boast the power of Helio X25 chipset with 4GB RAM and 128GB onboard storage. In the photography department, rumors have suggested that high end version of the phone will flaunt dual rear camera and a fingerprint sensor integrated home key. Though, we suggest you take it with a pinch of salt!
As the box in the photo packs in a Gold colored version of the phone, it is now confirmed that the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 will be available in the Gold colour. We expect other colour such as Silver and Dark Grey as well! As for the pricing, there is no solid detail available, but we expect the phone to be priced aggressively, considering that the competition is getting tougher in the price range of Rs 10,000 - Rs 15,000.
