Coolpad Cool Play 6 gets a new Sheen Black color variant

Coolpad Cool Play 6 was launched in India back in August. At the time of the launch, the smartphone was offered in two color options; Gold and Black.

Now, the company has introduced a new color variant of the handset, which is Sheen Black. The Sheen Black colored Coolpad Cool Play 6 will be available for purchase from today exclusively on Amazon India. The new color variant is also being sold at the original pricing of Rs. 14,999. In case you have forgotten, let's go through the specs of the smartphone.

To start with, the Cool Play 6 features a full metal body with metal rims running all over the device. The front is protected with 2.5D curved glass and there is a circular fingerprint sensor below the rear camera.

The device flaunts a dual rear camera module with the two lenses positioned vertically. Coolpad has incorporated a USB Type-C port and dual-SIM card slots but there is no microSD card slot for storage expansion.

The Coolpad Cool Play 6 comes with a 5.5-inch FHD 1080p display and makes use of a 1.95GHz octa-core Snapdragon 653 SoC paired with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. Running on Android 7.1.1 Nougat with Journey UI, the device will be upgraded to Android 8.0 Oreo OS via an OTA update by the end of this year as announced the company.

The connectivity aspects on board include 4G VoLTE and Bluetooth 4.1. The smartphone gets its energy from a large 4,000mAh battery, which is claimed to provide up to 300 hours of standby time.

When it comes to the camera department, the Coolpad Cool Play 6 features a 13MP dual camera setup at its rear with dual-tone LED flash, PDAF, HDR and 4K video recording support and f/2.0 aperture. Up front, there is an 8MP selfie camera with f/2.2 aperture.
