Coolpad Cool Play 6 to be launched in India on August 20

Coolpad Cool Play 6 was launched in China in May this year. Now, it looks like the company is all set to bring this smartphone to the Indian market.

Coolpad has teased the launch of the Cool Play 6 smartphone on its official Facebook page. From the teaser, it is known that the smartphone will be launched in India on August 20. Apart from the launch date, the pricing and availability information of the device seems to be unknown for now. In China, the Coolpad Cool Play 6 is priced at 1,499 yuan (approx. Rs. 14,000) so we can expect the device to be priced reasonably in India.

Detailing on the Coolpad Cool Play 6, the smartphone boasts a metal frame and features a dual-lens rear camera setup. It also comes with a fingerprint sensor and a USB Type-C port. The device was launched in two color variants - Black and Soft Gold in its home market and we can expect both the color options to make their way into India as well.

Coolpad Note 5 Lite C launched in India

Talking about the technical specifications of the Coolpad smartphone, it adorns a 5.5-inch FHD 1080p display and runs on Android 7.1.1 Nougat OS out of the box. Under its hood, there operates a Qualcomm Snapdragon 653 processor paired with Adreno 510 graphics unit, 6GB RAM and 64GB storage space that can be expanded further with the help of a microSD card.

There is a dual-lens rear camera setup on the Coolpad Cool Play 6. This camera setup comprises of two 13MP Sony sensors - one being a monochrome sensor and the other being capable of capturing the depth of field details. The primary sensor comes with dual tone LED flash, 6P lens, autofocus, and f/2.0 aperture. Up front, there is an 8MP selfie camera with f/2.2 aperture. The Coolpad smartphone is powered by a 4060mAh battery that is claimed to render up to 252 hours of standby time.
