Coolpad Note 3 Lite to Go on Open Sale from March 22 on Amazon: A Big Threat to Redmi Note 3?

Shenzhen-based handset maker, Coolpad has made an announcement of c smartphone open sale on the e-retailer Amazon India starting from March 22. Initially, this device was launched in the Indian market earlier this year at a price tag of Rs. 6,999.

The Coolpad Note 3 Lite is essentially a lighter version of the company's previously launched Note 3 smartphone. Just like the older sibling, the Note 3 Lite is also loaded with pretty impressive specs like a fingerprint scanner, 3GB of RAM and 4G LTE connectivity at this price range.

Talking about the specifications, the Coolpad Note 3 Lite comes with 5-inch HD IPS display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels and a Scratch-resistant Glass. It is powered by a Quad-Core MediaTek MT6735 processor with Mali-T720 GPU clocked at 1.3GHz. About the storage capacity, the Note 3 Lite comes with 3GB RAM, 16GB ROM with an expandable option of up to 32GB via microSD card slot.

Further, this dual SIM device flaunts a 13MP rear camera with LED flash and an 5MP camera on the front. The Coolpad Note 3 Lite is shipped with Android 5.1 Lollipop topped with Cool UI 6.0 out of the box. The highlight of the phone is its fingerprint scanner placed below the camera at the rear panel. Coolpad's previously launched Note 3 was the first smartphone to feature fingerprint recognition tech in the low-end segment

On the connectivity options, the Coolpad Note 3 Lite supports 4G LTE / 3G HSPA+, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, USB OTG. Also, this device is juiced with 2500mAh battery under the board.

Announcing open sale for the Coolpad Note 3 Lite, Syed, CEO, Coolpad India, said, "Since the launch of Coolpad Note 3 Lite in January, the phone has received a great response on Amazon.in. So far we have received over 300,000 K orders of the phone in flash sales."

He also added, "Due to the high demand of the phone and for the convenience of our customers, we have decided to open sale for the smartphone starting 22nd March 2016. Customer will no longer have to go through the registration process to order the phone."

Further, he continued, "We also launched the black variant exclusively for the Indian market and are witnessing a great response for the new variant, we look forward to the continued support of our fans across India who have appreciated the phone and have patiently waited to buy the device during the flash sales."
