CyanogenMod 14.1 Nightly Build now available for Select Android devices
Cyanogen has finally rolled out the CM14.1 nightly builds (based on Android 7.1) for a handful of devices.
CyanogenMod team has announced the official roll out of CyanogenMod 14.1 based on Android 7.1 Nougat. The community members on their blog have mentioned that the nightly build will be pushed first to few devices, and later other devices will get the update too.
What is CyanogenMod 14.1?
The Custom ROMs are known for offering the latest features to the Android smartphones that have not yet received the official update from Google. The CyanogenMod 14.1 is based on Android 7.0 Nougat and offers features like multi-window support, Direct Share, a redesigned notification panel for quick reply, Doze mode, new Settings menu, and more.

You can experience all such features on your Android device even if you don't have Android 7.0 Nougat installed on it with the CM14.1 ROM.
Which Devices are getting the CM14.1?
As per the list shared by the members, CyanogenMod 14.1 nightly build is available for Nexus 6P, Nexus 5X, Xiaomi Mi 3, Xiaomi Mi 4, LG G3, Moto G variants, LG G4, Samsung Galaxy S5, OnePlus 3, and ZenFone 2 handsets.
Be cautious
It is worth mentioning that Nightly builds are usually very unstable and can cause some bugs to your Android devices. We recommend checking the CM14.1 ROM thread over at XDA forums for your Android device to get an idea about the issues and bugs.
You can download the build here but make sure your Android device is rooted with a custom recovery like the latest TWRP installed.
Lacks many Features
The official CyanogenMod 14.1 nightlies have just been released and lacks many features and customization options that a custom ROM usually offers. But the community members have mentioned that the CM team is working on porting forward all the features soon.
More Devices will be added soon
The community members have mentioned on their blog that more Android devices will be added to list soon. Besides, they have asked users not to file bug reports on missing features and have also urged for help from its community.
