DataWind launches PocketSurfer 2G4X, PocketSurfer 3G4Z smartphones starting at Rs 2,499

DataWind the makers of low cost Aakash tablets has expanded the portfolio of its products with the launch of PocketSurfer 2G4X and PocketSurfer 3G4Z smartphones.

The PocketSurfer 2G4X is priced at Rs 2,499 and PocketSurfer 3G4Z for Rs 3,999. The new smartphones from Datawind also come with unlimited internet browsing for the period of one year for Reliance and Telenor pre-paid subscribers.

DatawWind PocketSurfer 2G4X features a 3.5-inch display with 320x480 pixels resolution and runs on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean operating system. The device is powered by a 1GHz Cortex A5 processor paired with 256MB of RAM and 512MB of ROM further expandable up to 32GB using a microSD card. It offers a VGA rear camera and front camera with 2G, EDGE, WiFi and Bluetooth as connectivity options.

DataWind PocketSurfer 3G4Z consists of a 4-inch display with 480x800 pixels resolution powered by a 1 GHz Cortex A7 processor. The smartphone runs on Android 4.4.2 KitKat operating system coupled with 512MB. Its internal storage stands at 4GB which can be expanded further up to 32GB via microSD card. It sports a 5MP rear camera with LED flash and a VGA front camera for selfies. Its connectivity options include 3G, WiFi, Bluetooth and GPS.
