Despite the Confusion Flipkart is Explicitly Selling OnePlus 3 at Rs. 18,999
If you are planning to buy the device from Flipkart, then make sure that it is an authentic one and that it comes with a warranty.
Well just a day ago, if you happened to visit Flipkart's website, you might have been greeted by a rather surprising sight. A dedicated poster listing the sale of OnePlus 3 smartphones for under Rs. 20,000.
This had further led to Carl Pei, CEO and Co-Founder of OnePlus to question Sachin Bansal, Co-Founder of Flipkart, asking for an explanation on how come the device was put up on sale on the website and at such a low price.

However, while Flipkart is yet to reply to the question posed by Carl Pei, now, the e-commerce site has explicitly detailed that the OnePlus 3 will be available for as low as Rs. 18,999, which is Rs. 9,000 cheaper than the current price of the phone on Amazon India, the exclusive retail partner for the smartphone.
As reported by NDTV, the sale will start at 4 pm on December 18. But, before you get all excited or have already started contemplating on buying the device, there are few facts that you should know.
It has been known fact that OnePlus is exclusively partnered with Amazon and not Flipkart to sell its products in India. So the question that arises is, how can Flipkart list the OnePlus 3 on its website.
While neither Bansal nor Flipkart has provided a clear reply, reportedly, Flipkart told NDTV that "Flipkart was a marketplace which helped sellers connect with customers across the country. All the sellers of Flipkart were mandated to adhere to stringent guidelines. The prices and discounts for all the company's sales were decided by the participating sellers and brands.

As such, the blurry statement given by Flipkart has failed to clarify whether the OnePlus 3 smartphones being sold on its site were genuine or not.
Amidst such confusing situation, the Chinese smartphone manufacturer has warned interested buyers against the sale. OnePlus stated that the company has an exclusive partnership with Amazon in India and has advised customers to purchase OnePlus products only through official channels as the company cannot guarantee the authenticity of the products sold elsewhere.
Nonetheless, if you are planning to get the device make sure that it is an authentic one and that it comes with a warranty.
