Kyocera unveils world's first phone that you can wash with soap

Till now phones were either dust resistant or even water resistant. You can clean this Kyocera Phone in running water as seen in the advertisement on YouTube. Japanese Kyocera has released the Digno Rafre phone that can be washed with the soap meant for a hand wash. The ad video released by Telecom operator KDDI shows the phone being washed with Soap.

The Kyocera Digno Rafre has a 5 inch HD TFT LCD display with a resolution of 720x1280 pixels It has a 2GB RAM. There is no details on the processor that powers the Smartphone. It has an inbuilt memory of 16GB and has an memory slot expandable up-to 128GB. The device can also resist water up-to a temperature of 43 degree Celsius although this is not officially a part of the ratings.

Digno Rafre comes with a 13-megapixel rear camera with CMOS sensors and is backed by a 3000mAh battery.It also supports 4G LTE connectivity as well as VoLTE and WiMAX . Other connectivity options include a Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.1, and USB connectivity. The handset measures 71x141x10.1mm and weighs 155 grams.

The device would be releasing on December 11 only in Japan and will be exclusively available with cellular carrier, KDDI. The phone will be sold for JPY 57,420 (or approximately Rs. 30,000).
