From the recent happenings, it looks like Coolpad is all set to launch a slew of smartphones in the coming days.
We say so as a new Coolpad smartphone bearing the model number Coolpad THD-M0 has just been certified by Chinese regulatory authority TENAA. The TENAA listing has revealed some of the key specs of the device along with a couple of images. Going by the listing, the Coolpad THD-M0 will arrive with a 5-inch HD display with the resolution of 1280×720 pixels.
Under the hood, the smartphone is powered by an unspecified Quad-core processor running at 1.1GHz. The chipset is teamed with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage space. The storage space can be further expanded up to 64GB, thanks to the microSD card slot.
On the imagery front, the upcoming Coolpad phone seems to feature an 8MP rear-facing main camera that is accompanied by a LED flash. Up front, there will be a 5MP camera for selfies and video calls.
As for the software side of things, the device runs on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow OS out of the box. Backing it up is a rather small 2,500mAH battery unit.
Connectivity features on-board include Wi-Fi, 4G VoLTE support, GPS, Bluetooth, and a micro USB port. In addition, the Coolpad THD-M0 is likely to have a fingerprint scanner, which is embedded into its rear panel.
The handset measures 142.5×70.5×7.8 mm and weighs 125 grams. It will be available in color options such as White, Gold and Silver.
Judging from the specifications, the Coolpad THD-M0 is most probably going to be an entry-level device. It should fall in the under 10K category. As of now, we have no information on the release date of the smartphone.
