The new smartphones will continue the 'Note' series tradition or might be launched under a new series. Seeing the company's previous product strategy, the company is expected to launch a 'Lite' variant of the recently launched Coolpad Note 5. The company had previously introduced a 'Lite' variant of its popular handset- Coolpad Note 3.

Our source mentioned that Coolpad will follow the hybrid distribution structure - online plus offline, which will help the company sell the smartphone models into smaller towns & cities.

The offline market in India is quite huge and the smartphone vendors are realizing the potential of offline sales in tier 2 and 3 cities, where the internet penetration is relatively low. The offline market cannot be ignored when it comes to smartphones, as consumers in India still want to see and experience the product before making a final purchase.

However, companies have to deal with a number of complications to sell their products offline, which requires huge investments. As per our information, Coolpad will make substantial investments in India to strengthen its offline presence.

The company is expected to invest heavily in after sale service, which is one area where Chinese companies fail to make a mark, thus affecting their sales. Coolpad is planning to expand its presence in 13 cities over the next three months.

As noted, Coolpad was the first company to introduce the fingerprint sensor in budget smartphone category with the launch of Coolpad Note 3. The company has recently launched Coolpad Note 5, which is priced at Rs. 10,999 and is the most affordable smartphone to offer 4GB of RAM.

It also packs pretty interesting features like a large 4,010mAh battery, unibody metal design, Snapdragon 617 chipset and front LED flash light, giving new heights to budget smartphone category.
