Flagship Redmi K60 Ultra debuts as first Redmi smartphone to feature IP68 Rating

Xiaomi recently unveiled a new flagship smartphone in China. The Redmi K60 Ultra is the latest in the series, following the launch of the Redmi K60, Redmi K60 Pro, and Redmi K60E back in December 2022.

The Redmi K60 Ultra arrives with flagship specifications, including the latest MediaTek chipset, a super-smooth OLED display, a large battery with fast charging, and an improved camera system that now supports 8K HDR10+ recording. Additionally, the Redmi K60 Ultra is also the first Redmi smartphone to feature an IP68 rating.

Redmi K60 Ultra Launch, Pricing

The Redmi K60 Ultra arrives in Ink Feather (Black), Clear Snow (White), and Shadow Green colour options. As of now, there is no information about the availability of the Redmi K60 Ultra outside China. The Redmi K60 Ultra price is set at CNY 2,599 (roughly Rs 29,900) for the base 12GB/256GB model.

Additionally, the Redmi K60 Ultra also comes in 16GB/256GB, 16GB/512GB, 16GB/1TB, and 24GB/1TB configurations that will set you back CNY 2,799 (roughly Rs 32,200), CNY 2,999 (roughly Rs 34,500), CNY 3,299 (roughly Rs 37,900), and CNY 3,599 (roughly Rs 41,350), respectively.

Redmi K60 Ultra Specifications

The Redmi K60 Ultra is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9200+ SoC paired with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM. Additionally, the phone also comes with up to 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage. The MediaTek chip is accompanied by a PixelWorks X7 display chip for improved camera, display, and gaming performance.

The Redmi K60 Ultra sports a 6.67-inch OLED panel with a 1.5K resolution and an impressive 2,600 nits of peak brightness. The screen features a 144Hz refresh rate and a touch sampling rate up to 480Hz as well as 2,880Hz PWM dimming. The handset runs Android 13-based MIUI 14 out of the box.

For optics, the Redmi K60 Ultra gets a triple-camera setup on the back with a 54 MP Sony IMX800 primary sensor that supports OIS and 8K HDR10+ video recording. The main camera is accompanied by an 8 MP ultrawide lens and a 2 MP macro unit. Up front, there's a 20 MP camera sensor for selfies.

The Redmi K60 Ultra packs a 5,000 mAh battery with support for 120W wired fast charging. Xiaomi has developed two chips for fast charging (P1) and battery management (G1) on the K60 Ultra. The phone also features an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance. The Redmi K60 Ultra features 5G, Wi-Fi 6, GPS, NavIC, NFC, and Bluetooth connectivity.
