According to report, The Mobile Indian has confirmed that Alam has bought a genuine Apple iPhone 6s. The device was bought during the Flipkart's Big Billion Day Sale back in September 2017 at a price point of Rs 26,784. While looking at the phone no one can say that this is a refurbished iPhone. But the actual problem started taking place after few months.

The buyer has started facing the problem with the battery life of the phone in January. He has noticed that the new iPhone was constantly draining the battery. The phone was not even giving a backup of 5 hours on a single full charge. Apart from the battery the speaker and the microphone of the Apple iPhone was also started not functioning properly.

After noticing these many issues with his new Apple iPhone Alam decided to get the device checked with a local Apple authorized service centre because the device was under warranty according to the Flipkart's invoice.

Like any other customer, Alam also checked the Apple India website to locate an authorized service centre nearby his place. He went to Tresor Systems which is in Gurgaon, and the service guys took a look at the device. After checking the device they decided to send the iPhone 6s to Apple's service centre in Bangalore.

After four days Tresor guys contacted Alam, informing him that the device is no longer eligible for warranty, and he needs to pay for the service amount to fix the device properly.

Alam received the phone a day later and he was handed over the service report which read "device is beyond economical repair". The report also clarified that Apple will only service the iPhone if the original price of the unit would be paid in full.

The customer has also registered the Case ID with Apple, the customer care executives weren't that helpful. On the other hand, the Flipkart customer support is placing the blame on Alam for going to an unauthorised Apple Service centre.

Later Flipkart has contacted Alam for the replacement of the device. The replacement was scheduled for delivery a day after the original device was picked up by Flipkart. But that day never came, the company refuse to replace the iPhone unit. Till today Alam has not been provided with a replacement.
