Galaxy S26 Series Reportedly Features Exynos 2600, Offering Six Times the Performance of Apple’s A19 Pro
The Galaxy S26 series is expected to debut early next year, and rumors about it have been circulating online for a while. Now, the latest reports suggest that Samsung could use its newest in-house Exynos chipset for the next-gen flagships.
Galaxy S26 Series Reportedly Features Exynos 2600 Chipset
According to a report by The Korea Economic Daily, the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S26 series will feature the Exynos 2600 chipset in its standard and Plus models. However, it remains to be seen whether the flagship Ultra variant will also adopt the Exynos chip.

Samsung has reportedly begun mass production. While Qualcomm chipsets will continue to power models in markets like the U.S., Japan, and China, the Korean and European versions will come with Exynos. Overall, the Exynos-powered units are expected to make up about 50% of the total Galaxy S26 series production.
Samsung equipped most of its smartphone models with Exynos chipsets from the Galaxy S1 (2010) to the Galaxy S6 (2015). However, starting in 2016, the company started adopting a dual-chip strategy.
According to industry sources, Samsung's internal tests revealed that the Exynos 2600's neural processing unit (NPU) delivers performance over six times higher than Apple's A19 Pro chipset. The CPU's multi-core performance reportedly outperformed the A19 Pro by 14%, while the GPU performance was up to 75% higher. When compared to Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, the Exynos 2600's NPU performance was around 30% higher, and its GPU performance was up to 29% better.
