Galaxy Unpacked 2024: Samsung Launches Galaxy Z Flip 6 With Galaxy AI

Samsung has unveiled the Galaxy Z Flip 6 during its Unpacked event in Paris. Although it retains the same design as the Galaxy Z Flip 5, this new foldable phone boasts several upgrades including Galaxy AI and a 50MP main camera. Additionally, it features a larger 4,000mAh battery compared to the previous model. Let's take a look at the features and availability of the Galaxy Z Flip 6.

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6 Specifications

Like the Galaxy S24 series, the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6 now comes with Galaxy AI which brings several on-device AI generative features like translation, summaries, and a new 'Sketch to image' to generate images based on rough sketches.

In terms of features, the Galaxy Z Flip 6 has a 6.7-inch FHD+ Dynamic AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a 3.4-inch Super AMOLED secondary panel with a 60Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, the device gets its power from the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset coupled with 12GB of RAM and up to 512GB of onboard storage.

The Galaxy Z Flip 6 gets a 50MP wide-angle camera, as opposed to the 12MP sensor featured on the Z Flip 5. The 50MP sensor is accompanied by a 12MP camera. For selfies, there is a 10MP sensor. Moreover, the next-gen foldable phone packs a 4,000 mAh battery with 25W fast charging support and Fast Wireless Charging 2.0 and Wireless PowerShare.

On the software front, the Galaxy Z Flip 6 runs Android 14 OS with One UI 6.1.1 and is confirmed to receive seven years of OS upgrades and security updates. It is the first Flip series phone to be launched with a vapour-cooling chamber. The latest Flip phone also features a side fingerprint sensor and an official IP48 rating.

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6 Price and Availability in India

The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6 starts at $1,099 and is now up for pre-booking on the brand's official site and other online e-commerce platforms in India, while the sale will start on July 24. Moreover, the phone will be available for purchase in Blue, Mint, Silver Shadow, and Yellow colours, while it can be purchased in a Peach colourway on Samsung's online store.
