Gionee Launches Selfie-Centric S6s Smartphone with 8MP Camera, 3GB RAM Exclusively on Amazon India

As promised, the Chinese handset maker Gionee has launched the selfie-centric S6s smartphone in the Indian market today. The "s" in the name stands for a selfie! Also, the company has announced Bollywood star Alia Bhatt as its brand ambassador.

Talking about the specifications, the S6s sports a 5.5-inch 2.5D curved glass display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. It is powered by an Octa-Core MediaTek MT6753 Processor clocked at 1.3GHz with Mali T-720 as GPU under the hood.

On the storage front, this smartphone has 3GB RAM, 32GB inbuilt memory with an expandable option of up to 128GB via MicroSD card slot. Moving on to the USP, the Gionee S6s flaunts a 13MP rear camera with LED flash, 1080p video recording, and an 8MP front selfie camera with LED flash, F/2.2 aperture, and 5P lens as well.

Equipped with a fingerprint sensor on the back, the Gionee S6s measures 154.5 x 75.6 x 8.27mm and weighs around 161grams.

Shipped with Android 6.0 Marshmallow based on Amigo 3.2 UI, this selfie smartphone supports connectivity options such as 4G LTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS. Moreover, it is powered by a 3150mAh battery on board.

Coming in Gold, Rose Gold, and Silver, the Gionee S6s carries a price tag of Rs. 17,999 and will be exclusively available on Amazon India online and leading offline retail stores.
