Gionee M2017 With a Mammoth 7,000mAh Battery to Be Made Official on December 26

Gionee’s M2017 smartphone is expected to feature a Snapdragon 653 chipset and a whopping 7,000mAh battery.

    Of late, rumors have been circulating on the internet that Gionee is secretly working on a smartphone dubbed M2017 which will supposedly feature a mammoth 7,000mAh battery. The company had also recently launched a poster of the smartphone thereby confirming the presence of such phone. Now, the company had released a similar post which includes the launch date of the Gionee M2017 as well.

    As seen on the image, the smartphone will be made official on December 26, 2016 at Haikou Mission Hills in China. Though the company had managed to keep the details of the smartphone under the wrap, thanks to the numerous leaks and rumors we almost have all the important features of the smartphone.

    Going by the rumors, the smartphone will reportedly have a 5.7-inch QHD AMOLED display, 1.95GHz octa-core Snapdragon 653 chipset, a dual camera setup with a combination of 12MP and 13MP lens, an 8MP front-facing camera, 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage space. In terms of software, the smartphone is expected to come with Android 6.0 Marshmallow with a layer of Amigo OS 3.2 atop.

    However, the highlight of the smartphone remains the 7,000mAh battery. The smartphone is expected to come in black color.

    There’s no information on the pricing details or it’s availability yet. In fact, it is not known even if the smartphone will make it to the Indian shores. But, we should know all those details once the smartphone is unveiled in China.
