It looks like the Chinese manufacturer Gionee appears to be all set to unveil a new smartphone with a bezel-less display. As it is the trend of such smartphones, Gionee has also geared up to jumped into the bandwagon of bezel-less smartphones.
According to a teaser that was posted on Weibo spotted by GSMArena, it looks like the company will soon announce the Gionee M7 smartphone with extremely thin or no bezels at the sides of the screen. The teaser shows that Gionee will join hands with Ofo, a Beijing-based bicycle sharing company in order to launch the M7. Besides this information, nothing much is known about the Gionee M7 that could be launched soon.
The teaser shows two bike wheels and we can expect it to indicate the presence of dual camera lenses at the rear of the alleged Gionee M7. However, this is just a speculation and we have no concrete evidence regarding the same as yet.
Previously, we have seen a Gionee smartphone carrying the model number SW17W08 visiting the GFXBench benchmark database. The handset was spotted featuring a full-screen display with an aspect ratio of 18:9. The benchmark website listing showed that the device features a large 6-inch full-screen display as we saw on a few other Android flagships those went official this year.
Furthermore, the Gionee M7 is believed to employ an octa-core MedtiaTek MT6757CD processor paired with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage capacity. Running on Android 7.0 Nougat, this smartphone from the stable of Gionee is said to feature a 5MP camera at the front and rear, which sounds a little disappointing. Whatever it is, until there is an official confirmation from Gionee regarding the device and its specs, we need to take the details with a pinch of salt.
