Gionee S6s smartphone spotted on Zauba, expected to get launched on August 22 event

Gionee is prepping for an invite of August 22. The company has rolled out invite for its event scheduled for August 22, where the company is expected to launch its M6 series of battery heavy smartphones.

Gionee unveiled the M6 and M6 Plus smartphone last month in China, and might unveil the same phones in India in it upcoming event. However, the company's invite mentions hashtag #SelfieWithFlash hinting the launch of a selfie centric smartphone that brings flash with the front camera!

The previously launched Gionee M6 and M6 Plus are battery centric smartphone with 5000mAh and 6020mAh battery. Though these phones have 8MP front facing snapper, none of them has flash up front. Considering the invite, it is possible that the company might not launch the M6 series devices at its upcoming event.

You must be wondering that if not the M6 and M6 Plus than which Gionee phone would make it to the launch pad on August 22! There is a possibility that Gionee would bring the S6s smartphone at the said event.

Gionee S6s Spotted on Zauba!

The unannounced Gionee S6s smartphone has been spotted on Indian import and export site Zauba, hinting its launch soon. The phone seems to be another variant of the gionee S6Pro that was launched in China a couple of months back. The phone has a front facing flash, which adds to the possibility of its launch at the upcoming event.

As far as the specifications of the Gionee S6s smartphone are concerned, it has a 5.5-inch Full HD display with a 2.5D curved glass screen, and is powered by 1.3GHz MediaTek MT6753 octa-core processor with 3GB of RAM, 32GB of inbuilt storage, expandable using microSD card. In the imaging department, it has a 13MP rear camera with PDAF and f/2.0 aperture, and an 8MP front facing camera with f/2.2 aperture and 5P lens. Both these cameras are coupled with LED flash, which goes in line with the invite.

Other features include a fingerprint scanner, and a 3,150mAh non-removable battery. It runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow based Amigo 3.2 UI. Connectivity options include 4G LTE, VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, and GPS.

The Gionee M6 features a 5.5-inch FHD AMOLED display with 1080p resolution, MT6755 Helio P10 64-Bit processor, 4GB RAM, 32GB inbuilt memory, 13MP rear camera, 8MP front camera, Android 6.0 Marshmallow, and 5000mAh battery.

The M6 Plus, on the other hand, flaunts a 6-inch FHD AMOLED display, 16MP rear camera, and a 6020mAh battery. Rest of the features of M6 Plus remains the same as M6.
