Google Drops New Teasers of Its Upcoming Pixel 8 Series, Pixel Watch 2 Ahead of Launch

It looks like Google ain't slowing down in revealing everything about its upcoming Pixel 8 series, as after a few days of revealing the upcoming phones on its official website, the Mountain View giant has now released teasers for the Google Pixel 8 and 8 Pro, the Pixel Watch 2, and the Pixel Buds Pro. These teasers were shared by the company on its official X (formerly Twitter) account. Let's take a look.

Pixel 8 Pro

Google's teaser video highlights the Pixel 8 Pro's triple-lens rear camera system, which includes an LED flash. The teaser also provides a glimpse of the Pixel Watch 2, which has a design similar to the original Pixel Watch. The Pixel 8 Pro and the Pixel Watch 2 are both shown in a stylish Porcelain finish in the newly released video.

The teaser also features the Pixel 8 in a delightful shade of Pink, offering a peek at its dual-camera setup, complete with an LED flash.

Finally, the video also reveals that the Pixel 8 Pro will be available for pre-order in the US starting October 4.

Specifications

The Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro are expected to have impressive specifications. The Pixel 8 is expected to have a 6.17-inch OLED display with FHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate, while the Pixel 8 Pro is expected to have a slightly larger 6.7-inch OLED display. Both devices are likely to be powered by the Tensor G3 chipset and the Titan chip for security. They are expected to come with Android 14 out of the box.

In terms of photography, the Pixel 8 is rumored to have a 50MP dual-camera setup and an 11MP selfie camera. The Pixel 8 Pro, on the other hand, is rumored to have a 50MP primary camera with OIS support, a 64MP ultra-wide lens, and a 48MP telephoto camera.

The Pixel 8 Pro is expected to have a large 4,950mAh battery with support for 27W wired fast charging and 24W wireless charging. The Pixel 8, on the other hand, is speculated to have a 4,485mAh battery.

The teaser also reveals that the Pixel Buds Pro will be available in Porcelain, a color that harmonizes with the Pixel 8 Pro and the Pixel Watch 2.

As for the Pixel Watch 2, it is rumored that Google will offer both Bluetooth and LTE versions to cater to a variety of users. While a single-display variant is likely, the smartwatch is expected to feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon W5 Gen 1 chipset, WearOS 4, 2GB of RAM, four new watch faces, and a resolution of 383x384 pixels.
