Google Event Roundup: Nexus Smartphones, Pixel Tablet and More
Google held its annual press event yesterday at San Francisco unveiling the next generation of Nexus smartphone, a brand new tablet and more.
Well, many new devices and services were expected from the launch event. The search engine giant, Google announced the most anticipated Nexus smartphones at the event. The LG made Nexus 5X and the Huawei made Nexus 6P, the bigger Nexus smartphone.

Google Nexus 6P by Huawei
Google partnered with the Chinese smartphone maker Huawei for the bigger version of Nexus smartphone. Perhaps, it is the biggest announcement from the company, replacing the last years Google Nexus 6, and offering number of updates and new features to the flagship.
The Nexus 6P is the first all-metal-body smartphone in the Nexus lineup and crafted from aeronautical-grade aluminum. It sports a 5.7 inch display, powered by a new Snapdragon 810 processor paired with 3GB of RAM and comes with storage options like 32GB, 64GB and 128GB internal memory.
On the camera front it has an improved 12.3 megapixel camera on the back built by Sony and features a new infraread autofocus system. Click here to know more.
Google Nexus 5X by LG
Google announced another Nexus smartphone at the event, the second Nexus smartphone, Nexus 5X, is build in collaboration with LG. The new Nexus 5X sports a smaller 5.2 inch display, powered by a hexa-core Snapdragon 808 chipset.
The Nexus 5X includes the same camera, USB Type-C and fingerprint sensor as the Nexus 6P. However, the major differences between the Nexus 6P and the Nexus 5X is the processor and the screen size. Click here to know more.
Pixel C Tablet
Google announced a new tablet called Pixel C Tablet, which seems like the company has combined the Chromobook with a tablet. Well, the 'C' stands for 'Convertible' and the keyboard can be detachable so that users can use it as a tablet.
The Pixel C Tablet sports a 10.2 inch display and will go on sale in the the holidays. The tablet will cost $499 and the keyboard will be sold separately for $199. Know more here.
Chromecast 2
Google unveiled a new Chromecast called as Chromecast 2. The new device has a completely new design and comes in three color options including black yellow and red. The Chromecast 2 comes with new Wi-Fi standards and connects both 3.4Ghz and 5Ghz Wi-Fi bands for fast connectivity and reduced buffering. Know more here.
Chromecast Audio
Along with Chromecast 2, Google announced the standalone music streaming device called Chromecast Audio. The device plus via 3.65 mm audio jack, to stream music using speakers. Know more here.
Android Marshmallow
Google rolled out its latest mobile operating system: the Android 6.0 Marshmallow at the event. The OS will be rolled out to existing Nexus devices starting next week including the Nexus 5, Nexus 6, Nexus 7, Nexus 9 and the Nexus player.
Google Play Music Family Plan
Google announced the family plan for the Google Play Music, similar to the highly-praised Apple Music family plan subscription. This allows families to connect accounts for a cheaper price. The Google Play Music Family Plan costs $14.99 per month for up to six persons.
