Google I/O 2024 Developer Conference Date Set for May 14: Pixel 8a, Android 15, AI Updates Incoming

Google just revealed the dates of its upcoming I/O 2024 conference, where it will drop a myriad of software and hardware announcements, including the Pixel 8a.

Apart from the Google Pixel 8a, the search giant will also showcase new features coming to Android 15. While Google I/O conferences primarily tend to focus on software and services, we can also expect a few hardware announcements.

The Google I/O 2024 annual developer conference will take place on May 14. The search giant made the announcement with a Break the loop I/O puzzle with 15 levels. Solve the puzzle and the date of Google I/O 2024 will be revealed.

Google I/O 2024 Possible Announcements

The Google Pixel 8a will be one of the major hardware announcements at the I/O 2024 conference. The Pixel 8a is expected to feature a Tensor G3 SoC and could feature the same price tag as the Pixel 7a at launch, which was $499 in the US and Rs 43,999 in India.

Unlike last year, the launch of the Pixel Fold 2 has been delayed, so we aren't going to see a Google foldable smartphone at I/O 2024. Another major announcement we can expect at I/O 2024 is a release timeline for Android 15.
