Google has officially confirmed the launch date of the flagship Pixel 11 series. This confirmation comes after initial rumours pointed to a slightly earlier date. Google is also expected to showcase significant advancements in mobile artificial intelligence.

Google will host its upcoming Pixel launch event in New York City on 12th August 2026 at 06:00 pm ET. Indian audiences looking forward to streaming the Pixel 11 event live, will be able to do so on 13th August 2026 at 3:30 streaming.

According to reports, the Google Pixel 11 series will include four devices - Pixel 11, Pixel 11 Pro, Pixel 11 Pro XL, and Pixel 11 Pro Fold.

Google also plans to phase out the 128GB base storage tier for its upcoming flagships. The Google Pixel 11 series will begin at 256GB storage. Although Google is also expected to raise the entry price for the Pixel 11 models for many global customers.

A retail leak from Dealabs on July 7, 2026, details this strategic shift. The standard Pixel 11 is rumored to start at €999 in Europe. This represents a €100 increase from last year's base pricing. But it matches the exact cost of the older 256GB model.

By comparison, the older Pixel 10 started at €899 for 128GB storage. Dropping the lowest tier aligns Google with competitors who recently elevated base storage. While standard versions avoid real hikes relative to memory, premium models will cost more. This change impacts users who need basic storage capacities.

The Pixel 11 Pro XL and Pixel 11 Pro Fold face outright price increases. The Fold version is expected to reach a high starting price of €1,999. In the United Kingdom, entry prices will similarly reflect this change. These shifts follow a broader industry trend toward higher mobile prices.

Color Options and Configurations

Additionally, leaked reports also reveal new colourways for the entire device family. The base Pixel 11 will launch in Light Sterling, Midnight Haze, Fuchsia, and Moss. Buyers can choose between 256GB and 512GB storage sizes for this entry model. No smaller tiers are expected this year.

The premium Pixel 11 Pro and 11 Pro XL will feature different shades. They will come in Light Fog, Midnight Haze, Dune, and Pine. These models will offer more storage flexibility, with some units featuring up to 1TB. These premium devices cater to power users.

The folding model follows a slightly different design path. The Pixel 11 Pro Fold will debut only in Midnight Haze and Pine. The highest 1TB storage tier will be restricted to Midnight Haze. This matches Google's previous color strategy for top-tier storage.

Google Pixel 11 Series Specifications (Expected)

The Pixel 11 series is expected to bring modest hardware refinements rather than a major redesign. Leaks suggest the Pixel 11 and Pixel 11 Pro will retain 6.3-inch OLED displays, while the Pixel 11 Pro XL could feature a 6.8-inch panel. The Pixel 11 Pro Fold is tipped to offer a 6.3-inch outer display and an 8-inch foldable inner screen. Pro models are expected to keep LTPO 1Hz-120Hz refresh rates, with slightly higher peak brightness for improved outdoor visibility.

The biggest upgrade could come from the new Tensor G6 chipset, rumoured to be built on TSMC's 2nm process. If accurate, it may significantly improve efficiency, reduce heating and deliver better battery life compared to previous Tensor chips. The processor is also expected to feature upgraded AI capabilities, a MediaTek M90 modem and improved image processing.

Camera details remain limited, although an upgraded 50MP main sensor is rumoured. Google may also remove the rear temperature sensor introduced on earlier Pro models.
