Google Pixel 9a Design Leaked in Official-Looking Renders: Hint at a Camera Redesign
Google is gearing up to launch the affordable Pixel 9a next month. While the brand hasn't revealed the launch date, it's expected to debut on March 19, with sales starting on March 26, in the US and Europe.
Recently official images of the Pixel 9a case leaked online, showing the design in full glory. Now, official-looking images have surfaced, showcasing the Pixel 9a in four distinct colourways. Here's everything you should know about the upcoming Pixel 9a.
Pixel 9a Design Leaked in New Renders
The new renders come to light via tipster Sudhanshu Ambhore, which is without a watermark and shows the phone in Peony (pink), Obsidian (black), Iris (purple), and Porcelain (white) colour options.
Going by the renders, the Pixel 9a has a dual rear camera setup that's placed horizontally in a pill-shaped camera island to the left side of the rear panel. It also features Google's "G" logo at the centre of the rear panel. Upfront, the phone appears to have a punch hole cutout to house a selfie shooter with a slightly thinner bottom bezel compared to its predecessor, the Pixel 8a.
Pixel 9a: What We Know So Far
In terms of features, the Pixel 9a is expected to sport a 6.3-inch AMOLED display with a refresh rate of 120Hz and Gorilla Glass 3 protection. The device could be powered by the Tenso G4 processor paired with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of inbuilt storage.
It might include a 48MP main sensor and a 13MP ultra-wide lens. Battery life could see improvements with a 5,100mAh battery supporting both wired and wireless charging options. Moreover, the phone might feature an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance.
As far as the price is concerned, the Pixel 9a is expected to start at $499 (approximately Rs 43,100), while a higher storage variant may be priced at $599 (around Rs 51,800). In India, prices might start at Rs 52,999 for the base model and go up to Rs 64,000 for larger storage options.
