Google Pixel 9a Official Case Images Show Off Design; Check Expected Launch, Sale, and More

The Google Pixel 9a is expected to debut on March 19, with sales starting on March 26, in the US and Europe. Although Google has not made an official announcement, leaks have shed light on the release timeline.

Additionally, rumours and leaks have provided a glimpse into the expected specifications of the device. Now, official images of the Pixel 9a case have surfaced online, showing the design in full glory.

Google Pixel 9a Design

Android Authority has obtained images of the official case for the Pixel 9a. The design closely resembles the popular Pixel 9 style but lacks the raised edge around the camera. Unlike the Pixel 9, the Pixel 9a does not feature a protruding camera bar. The case is crafted from soft silicone on the outside and lined with microfiber inside. It also features "Pixel" branding inside and Google's "G" logo on the exterior.

The leaked case images reveal that it will be available in at least four colours: Peony (pink), Obsidian (black), Iris (purple), and Porcelain (white). However, these marketing names are not yet finalised. Moreover, tipster Evan Blass also shared an image of the front of the Pixel 9a before it was removed, possibly due to legal issues. The image revealed that the upcoming phone has a slightly thinner bottom bezel compared to its predecessor, the Pixel 8a.

Google Pixel 9a: Expected Features

The Pixel 9a is rumoured to feature a 6.3-inch AMOLED display with a refresh rate of 120Hz and Gorilla Glass 3 protection. It might include a dual-camera setup comprising a 48MP main sensor and a 13MP ultra-wide lens. Battery life could see improvements with a 5,100mAh battery supporting both wired and wireless charging options.

Google Pixel 9a Price (Expected)

In terms of pricing in the US, it's expected that the base model will cost $499 (approximately Rs 43,100), while a higher storage variant may be priced at $599 (around Rs 51,800). In India, prices might start at Rs 52,999 for the base model and go up to Rs 64,000 for larger storage options.

There is no confirmation about its launch in India yet; however, following previous patterns like with Pixel 8a releases, India might see a simultaneous launch.
