Google Pixel 9a Pricing Tipped in a New Leak; Expected Launch, Features We Know So Far

Google is reportedly working on the Pixel 9a, which is expected to be the most affordable offering in the Pixel 9 series. While there's no official confirmation regarding the upcoming Pixel 9a, leaks and rumours gave us an idea of what to expect from this device. Now, the latest development suggests the next-gen model will be expensive compared to the Pixel 8a. Here's what the new leak suggests.

Pixel 9a Pricing Tipped in a New Leak

A report by Android Headlines reveals the pricing of the Pixel 9a for the US and Canada. The Google Pixel 9a is said to be priced at $499 (around Rs 43,181) for the 128GB model and $599 (around Rs 51,834) for the 256GB model, which is the same as the Pixel 8a. However, the 256GB version is $40 (around Rs 3,461) more expensive compared to the same storage version of the precursor Pixel 8a.

Given that, the brand seems to follow the same pricing strategy for the Pixel 9a as the other models of the Pixel 9 series, where the 256GB model was launched for $100 (around Rs 8,653) more than its 128GB version. The report further states that pricing in Canada is expected to be more flexible because of the weaker Canadian dollar.

Pixel 9a Features and Launch Details: We Know So Far

In terms of features, the Pixel 9a will likely come with a 6.3-inch Actua display with an adaptive refresh rate of up to 120Hz. It could be powered by the Tensor G4 chip which also powers other models in the lineup. The smartphone is expected to be paired with 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of onboard storage.

Moreover, the Pixel 9a is tipped to feature a 48MP Quad Dual Pixel camera. The main lens is expected to be accompanied by a 13MP ultra-wide angle lens and a 13MP selfie camera. The device will likely pack a massive 5,000mAh battery with 18W wired and 7.5W wireless charging. As far as the launch is concerned, the Pixel 9a is rumoured to arrive earlier than usual in March 2025.
