Google latest update allows a user to toggle the camera shutter sound from the camera app's setting menu.
Google has recently started rolling out new update for the Pixel 2 devices in India. The new update which started rolling out from the beginning of February allows a user to toggle the camera shutter sound from the camera app's setting menu. This new update for the stock camera is much appreciated by the users.
Earlier it was not possible to toggle the shutter sound in both the Google first-gen Pixel smartphone as well as the Pixel 2 devices. A user just needs to open their camera application and go to the settings and search for the "camera sounds" toggle. As mentioned above the update will be available on Google Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL, let's have a quick look at what the devices have to offer in terms of features and specification.
The Google Pixel 2 features 5-inch AMOLED screen with 16:9 aspect ratio and a resolution of 1920X1080 pixels. For screen protection Google has used 2.5D Corning Gorrilla Glass 5 on top for protection from scratches. The smartphone is powered by a 2.35GHz + 1.9 GHz, 64 Bit octa-core Snapdragon 835 SoC coupled with Adreno 540 GPU and 4GB of of LPDDR4X RAM. The inbuilt storage of Google Pixel 2 is 64GB and the device is powered by a 2700mAh battery and it ships with Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box. In the camera department the Pixel features 12.2MP rear camera with f/1.8 aperture, Auto-focus and OIS as well as EIS technology. The front camera is an 8MP camera with a f/2.4 aperture.
The Google Pixel 2 XL on the other hand features 6-inch P-OLED QHD screen with an aspect ratio of 18:9. For screen protection the device uses Corning Gorilla Glass 5. Google Oixel 2XL is powered by a 2.35 GHz + 1.9GHz, 64 Bit octa-core Snapdragon 835 SoC coupled with Adreno 540 GPU and 4GB of LPDDR4X RAM.
The Pixel is the flagship series of Google and we are looking forward for more features to be rolled out by Google to make the user experience more pleasant.
