Google Pixel phones have always looked ace in terms of camera features. And, even this time these devices are laced up with a couple of unique features, thanks to Google's new camera mod. As the mod has brought up manual/forced "Astrophotography Mode" along with a "Lighting Painting Mode".

Google Pixel Phones Get Manual/Forced Astrophotography

We have seen astrophotography mode on the Google Pixel 4 device, which automatically activates while getting directed to the night sky. To get better photography results, users have to use a tripod which reduces the chances of hand movement while taking shots. These are the limitations users have to follow before activating the astrophotography mode.

To cope up with these issues, Google Camera now adds a button on Pixel devices including Pixel 4, which will let users to manually enter or force astrophotography mode. There is another button for a light painting mode on these devices, which together with the astrophotography mode will offer optimized results. With manual options, the users now won't have to wait for these modes to get automatically activated.

It should be noted that the astrophotography mode is available with stock Google Camera v7 and above on phones like Pixel 4/4 XL, Pixel 3/3 XL, and Pixel 3a/3a XL. While this mode can also be enabled for the Pixel 2/2 XL and the original Pixel and Pixel XL smartphones.

As we know, with the astrophotography mode, the Pixel users can capture good photos of the starry sky. And with the help of light painting mode, you can get creative photos. These photos depict the movement of a light source, during a long exposure shot, emulating a 'drawing' effect with the light. As a result of a combination of astrophotography mode with light painting mode, the users will get much better photography of the starry sky.
