HMD Is Launching A New Affordable, Modular Smartphone Soon: Check HMD Fusion 2 Expected Specifications

HMD is reportedly developing its next modular smartphone, the HMD Fusion 2. This device will succeed the recently launched HMD Fusion in India. Key details about the HMD Fusion 2 have emerged online, highlighting some of its features and specifications. The smartphone is expected to include new Smart Outfits, a feature first seen with the HMD Fusion.

The upcoming HMD Fusion 2 is anticipated to be powered by Qualcomm's latest Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 processor. According to a post by HMD Meme on X, the phone will feature Smart Outfits Gen 2 with Pogo Pin 2.0, allowing customisable outfits to attach via six smart pins.

Smart Outfits and Display Features

Additionally, a tipster has revealed that new Smart Outfits are in development. These include a Casual Outfit with a Kickstand, Wireless Charging Outfit, Rugged Outfit, Gaming Outfit, Camera Grip Outfit, Flashy Outfit, Speaker Outfit, QR and Barcode Outfit, and Smart Projector Outfit. However, these outfits won't be compatible with the first generation.

The handset is expected to feature a 6.58-inch OLED display with Full HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. This ensures smooth visuals for users who value high-quality displays.

Camera and Connectivity Specifications

The HMD Fusion 2 might come equipped with a dual-camera setup on the back. It could include a 108-megapixel primary sensor with OIS support and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens. This configuration aims to enhance photography capabilities.

In terms of connectivity and additional features, the device is reported to offer IP65 rating for water resistance, Bluetooth 5.3 for improved wireless communication, dual speakers for better audio output, and a traditional 3.5mm audio jack for headphones.
