HMD Launches Affordable 2G Feature Phones In India, Focused On Music And Usability
Human Mobile Devices (HMD) has introduced two budget-friendly 2G feature phones, the HMD 130 Music and HMD 150 Music, in India. These devices were first showcased at the MWC 2025 event last month. Both models come with a 2.4-inch QVGA display, designed for easy navigation of menus and music playlists.
The HMD 150 Music model stands out with its robust design and includes a QVGA camera for capturing basic images. It also features an integrated flashlight. Meanwhile, the HMD 130 Music supports UPI payments, while the HMD 150 Music offers a scan-and-pay function for simple transactions.

Specifications and Features
Both phones are equipped with a 2W speaker and dedicated music control buttons to manage playback efficiently. They include a 3.5mm headphone jack for wired audio options and support wireless and wired FM radio with recording capabilities. Users can expand storage up to 32GB using an SD card for personalised music collections.
The devices offer Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity, allowing users to pair them with external speakers or headsets. A removable 2500mAh battery powers these phones, providing up to one month of standby time according to HMD's claims.
Pricing and Availability
The HMD 130 Music is priced at Rs. 1,899, while the HMD 150 Music costs Rs. 2399. Both models will be available through leading retail stores in India, on the official HMD website, and various e-commerce platforms.

HMD has renewed its partnership with the Rajasthan Royals as their official smartphone partner for IPL 2025. This collaboration highlights HMD's commitment to engaging Indian consumers through their love for cricket while continuing to provide digital solutions.
Alok Chitre, Chief Business Officer of Rajasthan Royals commented: "We understand the diverse needs of Indian consumers... We look forward to our second innings of a fruitful association." The company also announced plans to launch an entry-level 5G smartphone soon, aiming to bring high-speed connectivity to more users.
