HMD Teases Arrival of Fusion Smartphone in India; Amazon Microsite Goes Live
HMD is gearing up to launch a new smartphone dubbed the HMD Fusion in the Indian market. The brand has started teasing the arrival of the upcoming handset.
Besides, Amazon has created a dedicated microsite for the HMD Fusion, confirming its availability on the e-commerce site. Here's what to expect from the upcoming HMD phone.

HMD Fusion: What to Expect?
The Amazon teaser says 'Experience Fusion' and 'Go beyond just a smartphone'. While the microsite doesn't reveal any specifications of the HMD Fusion, it reveals the upcoming phone will come with an easy self-repair feature.
As we already know the HMD Fusion boasts Gen2 repairability with easy repairs for display, back cover, battery, and charging port through iFixit. For the unaware, the smartphone was originally launched in September at IFA 2024.
This device features a modular design with a six-pin connector on the back, enabling users to attach outfits that enhance the phone's functionality. Each Smart Outfit can modify the phone's hardware and software and one such case includes a built-in ring light for both front and rear cameras, offering customizable lighting and camera effects via the camera app.
The brand also introduced a rugged case and normal cases for the HMD Fusin, where the former is designed for outdoor adventures, providing IP68 ratings for dust and water resistance.
In terms of features, the HMD Fusion was announced with a 6.56-inch HD+ LCD screen with a 90Hz refresh rate and up to 600 nits peak brightness. It is powered by the Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 4nm SoC with the Adreno 613 GPU. For imaging, there is a 108MP dual rear camera setup and a 50MP selfie camera.
Running Android 14, the HMD Fusion packs a 5000mAh battery with support for 33W wired fast charging; however, the charger is not included in the package. It remains to be seen if the Indian variant follows the same as the international variant. Moreover, the exact launch date for the HMD Fusion is yet to be announced. We expect to get more details in the coming days.
