HMD Vibe2 5G Launches in India With Android 16, 6000mAh Battery Under Rs 10,000
HMD has launched the new Vibe2 5G smartphone in India, targeting the sub-Rs 10,000 segment with features like Android 16, a 120Hz display, and a 6000mAh battery.
The smartphone will go on sale starting May 26 at 12 PM through Flipkart. HMD is offering the device in two storage variants, with launch pricing starting at Rs 9,499.

The company says the Vibe2 5G is designed around everyday usability, focusing on battery life, smooth performance, and AI-backed features.
120Hz Display and IP64 Rating
The HMD Vibe2 5G comes with a 120Hz refresh rate display aimed at smoother scrolling and animations during daily use.
HMD has also added IP64-rated water and dust resistance, which is still relatively uncommon in this price range.
The phone will be available in Cosmic Lavender, Nordic Blue, and Peach Pink colour options.
50MP AI Camera and Android 16
For cameras, the device features a 50MP dual rear camera setup with AI-backed image processing designed to improve shots in different lighting conditions.
On the front, there’s an 8MP selfie camera with support for portrait enhancements and artificial light correction.
The Vibe2 5G runs Android 16 out of the box and includes support for Indus by Sarvam AI as part of HMD’s India-focused software experience.
Big Battery and 5G Connectivity
The smartphone packs a 6000mAh battery and ships with an 18W charger inside the box.
HMD says the phone uses adaptive battery optimisation to improve endurance during day-to-day usage.
Powering the device is an octa-core 2.3GHz processor, although the company hasn’t specified the exact chipset name in the announcement.

The HMD Vibe2 5G is available in the following variants:
- 4GB + 64GB
- 4GB + 128GB
The launch price starts at Rs 9,499 for a limited period.
Sales begin on May 26 exclusively via Flipkart.
