Honor 9 Lite is all set to be launched today in India at an event in New Delhi at 12:30 PM. The highlight of the smartphone is the presence of quad cameras just like what we have seen on the Honor 9i. The device was initially unveiled in China back in late December 2017 with the quad-camera setup and glass unibody build. This smartphone follows the Honor View 10 that was launched in the country last week at Rs. 29,999.

We already know that the device will be a Flipkart exclusive as the same has been teased by Honor in the last week. We can expect the device to be priced in the mid-range market segment as there is a heavy competition in that category. Even the Honor 7X and Honor 9i are priced in the sub-Rs. 20,000 price bracket in the country.

Having said that, Honor is all set to live stream the launch event that is to happen today on its official YouTube channel. You can take a look at the video below to catch the action live.

For now, there is no word regarding the pricing, release date and launch offers provided by Flipkart. But we can expect the device to be priced around Rs. 15,000 in the country.

Honor 9 Lite specifications

Honor 9 Lite bestows a 5.65-inch FHD+ IPS display with a resolution of 2160 x 1080 pixels and 18:9 aspect ratio. At its heart, the device employs an octa-core HiSilicon Kirin 659 chipset that is paired with 3GB/4GB RAM and 32GB/64GB storage space. The connectivity features on board include 4G VoLTE, a micro USB port with OTG support, a 3.5mm audio jack, Bluetooth, GPS and dual SIM support. The device gets the power from a 3000mAh battery that is touted to render up to 24 days of standby time to it.

Honor 9 Lite camera

The quad camera setup is one of the key highlights of the Honor 9 Lite. The smartphone has a dual camera setup both at the front and rear of it. The dual camera setup both the sides comprise of a 13MP primary sensor and a 2MP secondary sensor. The dual cameras at the rear come with PDAF and LED flash as well.

Honor 9 Lite variants

Honor 9 Lite has been announced in China in three variants - one with 3GB RAM and 32GB storage space, the other with 4GB RAM and 32GB storage space and the third one with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage space. However, the listing on Flipkart has tipped that the 4GB RAM and 32GB storage variant will not be launched in India.
