Honor 90 5G Display Tech detailed, Camera Specifications confirmed

Honor is set to make its comeback in India with launch of the Honor 90 5G next week. However, ahead of the launch, Honor has been revealing key details about its upcoming smartphone.

And the most recent teaser gives us a detailed look at the Honor 90 5G's display. While specifications of the Honor 90 5G's display are already well-known, a release by Honor dives into the intricate details of the screen.

The Honor 90 5G sports a 6.7 Quad-Curved Floating AMOLED display with a resolution of 2664 x 1200 pixels. The panel boats a 100% DCI-P3 colour gamut and can showcase 1.07 billion colours. The display also supports HDR with a peak brightness of 1,600 nits. The Honor 90 5G's screen also features a 120Hz refresh rate.

According to Honor, its upcoming 90 5G smartphone will feature an industry-first 0 Risk Eye-Comfort Display boasting the highest and safest 3840Hz PWM Dimming technology. The smartphone has also received TÜV Rheinland Flicker Free Certification and achieved the risk-free dimming level.

The brightness level of the display will automatically and periodically change according to the duration of screentime with different external lighting conditions. The industry-leading 3840Hz PWM Dimming technology is claimed to eliminate any risk to the eyes.

Additionally, the Honor 90 5G is equipped with the innovative Circadian Night Display technology, a feature specifically designed to enhance user sleep quality during nighttime usage. This feature filters out harmful blue light and transitions the screen's colour temperature in a natural manner to support a healthier sleep cycle.

Honor has also revealed details about the cameras on its upcoming smartphone. On the back, the Honor 90 5G opts for a 200 MP primary sensor, a 12 MP ultrawide lens, and a 2 MP depth sensor. Up front, the Honor 90 5G's hole-punch cut-out houses a 50 MP selfie camera.

The Honor 90 5G will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 chipset paired with up to 12GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage. It will pack a 5,000 mAh battery with 66W fast charging support. The Honor 90 5G will run Android 13-based MagicOS 7.1 out of the box.

According to recent reports, the Honor 90 5G price in India will fall between Rs 30,000 and Rs 40,000. The Honor 90 5G launch date in India is set for September 14 at 12:30 pm (IST). Moreover, the Honor 90 5G sale in India will take place on Amazon following its launch.
