Honor 9X To Be Priced Around Rs. 15,000; Could Launch This Year
Honor 9X will launch in India by the end of 2019, says Charles Peng, the company's Country President. Honor is owned by Huawei, which recently launched the HarmonyOS to stand independent of Android. However, the upcoming Honor 9X will still run Android OS, as it was launched before the HarmoyOS rolled out.
Honor 9X Launch, Specs
The Honor 9X which was originally launched back in July will likely ship with the Play Store and Google apps. The smartphone will run Android 9 Pie with EMUI 9.1.1. The device features a 6.59-inch full-HD+ (1080 x 2340 pixels) display. The smartphone packs a HiSilicon Kirin 810 octa-core processor under the hood with a 6GB RAM in the high-end variant. The Honor 9X comes with storage options of 64GB and 128GB, with additional storage expansion up to 512GB with a microSD card.
Coming to the camera, the Honor 9X sports a dual-camera setup with a 48MP prime shooter and a 2MP depth sensor. On the front, there's a 16MP selfie camera. Other features include a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and the other usual connectivity options like Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, audio jack, and a USB Type-C port. The exact date of the launch hasn't been announced yet. The Honor 9X will likely be priced around Rs.15,000 for the highest variant.
Honor Vision Smart TVs
Honor has been keen on bringing their smart TVs to the Indian market. The recently launched Honor Vision smart TVs will go on sale in Q1- 2020 in India, Peng said. The smart TV series can connect with Android-powered Honor smartphones that allows it to access content on the Honor TV.
Honor is also in talks with video entertainment and content companies for its upcoming Honor Vision. In addition to the Honor 9X and the Honor Vision service, the Chinese manufacturer is also working on bringing IoT technology to India. One can expect a lot of Honor technology coming to the country soon.
