Huawei' sub-brand Honor is all set to announce a new smartphone in India on October 5. However, it not quite clear as to what the company is actually launching. Many have reported the upcoming smartphone to be Honor 9 but there are possibilities that it could completely be a different handset.
While the company may have a surprise for the consumers, Honor's global twitter handle indicates that Honor 9 smartphone will make its way to India on the aforementioned date. However, it's quite interesting because the teaser images that Honor India has been posting on its Twitter handle, indicate that the smartphone will altogether be a new smartphone. And we are assuming it to possibly be the Huawei Nova 2i, also known as Maimang 6 or Mate 10 Lite.
Further adding to the mystery, Flipkart has also announced that it will be the exclusive online retail partner for a new Honor phone. The e-retailer has not mentioned the details of the phone, but it dies merely hint that the new smartphone could sport dual cameras both on the front and rear. Now, this again indicates towards Nova 2i and not the Honor 9 which sports dual rear cameras only at the rear.
