Honor Just Dropped an Affordable Smartphone with a Massive 8,300 mAh Battery

Honor recently unveiled a new smartphone in China with a massive battery. The Honor X70 debuted as a budget smartphone with a massive 8,300 mAh silicon-carbon battery with super-fast 80W wireless charging, which is limited to the top-end model.

Honor X70 Pricing and Colour Options

The 8/128GB version of the Honor X70 costs CNY 1,399 (roughly Rs 16,700) in China. Additionally, the Honor X70 is also offered in 8GB/256GB, 12GB/256GB, and 12GB/512GB configurations that costs CNY 1,599 (roughly Rs 19,000), CNY 1,799 (roughly Rs 21,500), and CNY 1,999 (roughly Rs 24,000), respectively.

The Honor X70 is offered in Phantom Night Black, Bamboo Rhyme Green, Cinnabar Red, and Moonlight White colour options. As of now, there is no word on the availability of the Honor X70 outside China.

Honor X70 Specifications

The device boasts a 6.79-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 1200x2640 pixels and a refresh rate of 120Hz. This screen can reach a peak brightness of up to 6,000 nits. Internally, the Honor X70 is powered by the Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 chipset and operates on Android 15-based MagicOS 9.0.

On the rear side, there's a single 50MP f/1.9 wide-angle camera equipped with PDAF and OIS for enhanced photography. The front houses an 8MP f/2.0 camera for selfies. The Honor X70 is designed to be durable with IP66, IP68, and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance.

The Honor X70 packs a massive 8,300 mAh battery with 80W wired fast charging support, although the 12GB/512GB variant also supports extremely fast wireless charging, up to 80W. Honor assures that the X70 can endure water temperatures up to 85 ℃ and withstands continuous salt spray for four hours.

It remains waterproof up to six meters deep with an IP66+IP68+IP69 rating. The display functions in heavy rain and when used with gloves. The phone's YoYo AI assistant can be activated to expel dust and water from the device effectively. This feature enhances usability in various challenging conditions.
