Honor Magic 5 Ultimate Edition Launched: Check Specs, Features, and Price Of Premium Android Smartphone

Honor has launched the Honor Magic 5 Ultimate Edition. The premium Android smartphone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC. While the device has launched in China, there is no word from the company yet whether the device will launch internationally soon.

The flagship Android smartphone will be available on sale in China from March 10. The phone has also been listed on Honor China's official website. Let's look at all the available details of the premium Android smartphone from Honor.

Honor Magic 5 Ultimate Edition Specifications, Features

The Honor Magic 5 Ultimate Edition features a 6.81-inch Full HD+ quad-curved OLED "floating" screen with a display resolution of 1,312 x 2,848 pixels, 2160Hz High-Frequency PWM Dimming, and a 120Hz "Adaptive Dynamic" refresh rate. The device is IMAX Enhanced certified and supports HDR10+.

The smartphone has a nano-ceramic curved glass on the front, which Honor assures, improves the drop resistance over ten times.

Honor has embedded a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC inside the Honor Magic 5 Ultimate Edition with 16GB RAM and 512GB of internal storage. Honor has offered the smartphone in only one variant.

But the smartphone has Honor's RF (Radio Frequency) enhancement chip, security chip, and dedicated display chip.

The Honor Magic 5 Ultimate Edition features a triple camera setup on the back., comprising a 50MP primary sensor, 50MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 50MP periscope telephoto unit with a 100x digital zoom. There is a 12MP front-facing camera with 3D depth technology. The front and rear camera setup support 4K video recording.

Honor has embedded a 5,450mAh battery unit inside the smartphone that supports 66W wired and 50W wireless fast charging. Honor claims that the smartphone has a 'Qinghai Lake' battery cell, a silicon carbon anode battery with an alleged 12.8 percent higher energy density than conventional lithium-ion batteries.

The Honor Magic 5 Ultimate Edition runs on Magic UI 7.1 based on Android 13. Notable connectivity options on the device include 5G, WiFi-6, Bluetooth 5.2, USB-C, and NFC.

The Honor Magic 5 Ultimate Edition has been launched in China. The phone is currently available on Honor's official e-commerce platform. The Honor Magic 5 Ultimate Edition is available in Elegant Black and Burning Orange color options.

The 16GB RAM + 512GB storage variant of the Honor Magic 5 Ultimate Edition costs 6,699 Yuan (approx. $966 or ₹79,165). The Honor Magic 5 Ultimate Edition will go on sale in China on March 10. Honor hasn't confirmed if its flagship smartphone will launch outside China.
