Honor Magic V Flip 2 Full Specifications Leaked Ahead of August 21 Launch

The Honor Magic V Flip 2 is set to debut in China next week. The company has already confirmed the design and color variants of its upcoming foldable. Now, a leak from tipster Digital Chat Station has revealed detailed key specifications of the phone, just ahead of the launch. Let's dive into the details.

According to the leak, the main display will feature a 6.82-inch LTPO OLED panel with a resolution of 2868 x 1232, a 120Hz refresh rate, and UTG (ultra-thin glass) protection and 4,320Hz PWM dimming. On the outside, the device will sport a large 4-inch LTPO OLED cover display with a 1200 x 1092 resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, and 3,840Hz PWM dimming.

Under the hood, it will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, complemented by Honor's in-house C1 and E2 chips. While this is an upgrade over the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 powering the original Flip, its competitors, the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 and Moto Razr 60 Ultra, have the latest Snapdragon 8 Elite.

For imaging, the Honor Magic V Flip 2 is expected to offer a 200MP main sensor with an f/1.9 aperture and a 50MP ultra-wide lens with a 120-degree field of view at f/2.0 at the rear panel, while it will likely feature a 50MP front camera embedded in the foldable display.

Moreover, the foldable is also rumoured to pack the largest battery ever in a flip phone - a 5,500mAh unit - with support for 80W wired and 50W wireless charging. The Honor Magic V Flip 2 is said to measure 167.1 × 75.6 × 6.9mm when unfolded, 15.5mm thick when folded, and weigh 204g. It will also feature a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.

As noted, the brand already confirmed the colour variants for the upcoming foldable. It will be available in blue, grey, purple, and white colour options. The sparkling blue variant, designed by Jimmy Choo, will feature his name engraved on its hinge. The grey model will have a matte finish, while the purple and white versions will bring a unique marble-patterned design.
