The Honor Magic V Flip has officially been announced in China as the company's first clamshell foldable smartphone. The Honor Magic V Flip price in China starts from CNY 4,999 (roughly Rs 57,450) for the base 12GB/256GB model. The Honor Magic V Flip also comes in 12GB/512GB and 12GB/1TB configurations that will set you back CNY 5,499 (roughly Rs 63,200) and CNY 5,999 (roughly Rs 68,950), respectively.

The Honor Magic V Flip comes in Camellia White, Champagne Pink and Iris Black color options. Honor has also announced a special Magic V Flip Haute Couture Edition with 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage for CNY 6,999 (roughly Rs 80,450). The Honor Magic V Flip is currently up for pre-order in China, although there is no word on international availability.

The Honor Magic V Flip is powered by the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC paired with up to 16GB of RAM and up to 1TB of storage. The handset packs a large 4,800 mAh battery and supports 66W wired fast charging. It runs on MagicOS 8.0 based on Android 14.

The Honor Magic V Flip sports a primary 6.8-inch FHD+ LTPO OLED display with a 21:9 aspect ratio. The panel boasts an adaptive 120Hz refresh rate and 3840Hz ultra-high frequency PWM dimming. The screen can achieve a peak brightness of 3,000 nits and is Dolby Vision-certified. The phone also has a 4-inch LTPO OLED cover display.

The outer display on Honor's first flip smartphone supports over 40 apps out of the box. The two cameras on the external display include a 50 MP IMX906 primary sensor with OIS and an f/1.9 aperture as well as a 12 MP ultrawide lens with an f/2.2 aperture and macro mode. The inner display also houses a 50 MP Sony IMX816 selfie camera.
